One of the more frequently asked questions is, “How do you upload an Arlon profile onto the RIP software?” It’s very simple, and it only takes a few steps.

Download an ICC Color Profile

Now we are going to the Arlon website to download profiles. Select your region. Click the “Support” tab and choose “ICC Profiles.” Then, select the Printer, RIP software and Ink you are using. Once those are selected, profile options will pop up.

Select the profile you want and click “Download.” Once it’s completed, go to the download folder and make sure the profile is there. If necessary, extract the file. Now you can install the profile onto your RIP software.

Upload an Arlon Media Profile

Now we are in production manager. Select “File” from the pulldown menu. Then, select “Import Preset.” Next, locate the PTF file and click Open. An “Import process successful” confirmation message will pop-up. The preset is now ready for use.

Go to the setup menu and select default job properties. Then, select the desired preset, click apply, and then OK. You can now apply the preset to any jobs in the print queue. Once you install the profile, you will get consistent print quality.
